2 Samuel 1-2

Chapter 1: David Kills the Amalekite Who Killed Saul

David learns of the death of Saul and Jonathan. David kills the Amalekite who claims to have killed Saul, because of the death of Saul, David weeps over his death and sings a song about their passing.

Chapter 2: David is King of Judah

David is anointed king over the entire house of Judah.  The followers of David defeat Abner and all of Israel.
